Duties and
Responsibilities: Licensed practical and licensed vocational nurses typically
monitor patients’ health for example, by checking their blood pressure.
Administer basic patient care, including changing bandages and inserting
catheters. Provide for the basic comfort of patients, such as helping them
bathe or dress. Discuss the care they are providing with patients and listen to
their concerns. LPNs Report patients’ status and concerns to registered nurses
and doctors. They also keep records on patients’ health.
Salary: $41,540
Education: LPNs are
licensed by the state in which they practice. To obtain an LPN license, the
state may require background checks and proof of education. Every state
administers the National Council of the State Boards of Nursing exam, which
candidates have to pass to obtain their license.
Reflection:
I would want to be a Licensed Practical Nurse because it’s a good job and
easy job.
