Environmental Health Specialist
Duties and Responsibility: A professional who protects the environment by identifying problems and finding solutions that minimize or eliminate hazards that may harm environments and populations. Responsibilities can include analysis and inspection of environmental conditions, as well as creating and maintaining environmental policies.
Salary: $37,300 to $57,551 per year
Education: Most positions for environmental health specialists require at least a bachelor’s degree. Significant course work in chemistry, biology, public health, physical sciences, as well as environmental engineering is usually needed as well. Those who want to work for the government have to complete a certification course administered by the appropriate local, state, or federal agency.

Reflection: I wouldn’t want to be an environmental health specialist because it seems so hard and difficult and not really something I would do.
