Nursing Home Administrator
Duties and Responsibilities: a nursing home administrator’s main goal is to improve the quality and efficiency of care given to nursing home residents. These professionals often represent the nursing home on governing boards and must stay up to date on current laws and regulations involving the facilities. In this role, you can expect to manage finances, organize records, admit new residents and supervise all staff. You may also be responsible for the maintenance and care of the building. Expect to work full time, including some shifts on weekends or evenings.
Salary: $90,000
Education: Being a nursing home administrator requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration. However, most nursing home administrators have master’s degrees in long term care administration, health services administration, public health or business administration. Reflection: I would want to be a nursing home administer because it doesn’t deem like much, I would enjoy it and they get paid good.
