function are health information specialist who maintain and control access to
patients records. These specialists work in a variety of health care settings,
from physician offices and ambulatory care centers to home health care services
and surgical hospitals.

Education: Aspiring
health information management specialists need to be familiar with basic
medical vocabulary and insurance coding techniques. Most employers hire
candidates that have earned an associate’s degree in health information
management.
Reflection: I would
want to be a health information specialist because it doesn’t seem like so
much, it’s like a basic thing to do within medical careers.
