Ambulance Dispatcher
Duties and responsibilities: works under the direction of
the director of communications or dispatch supervisor. Works in conjunction
with the ambulance director of operations, supervisor or crew chief. Assist with
answering emergency and non-emergency phone calls. Coordinate all ambulance transports
and emergencies. Must portray a positive, courteous, professional and helpful
image at all time.
Salary: $250,000
Education: according to the U.S bureau of labor statistics,
most ambulance dispatchers have at least have to have a high school diploma. Some
states have developed or adopted training guidelines for emergency and ambulance
dispatcher to ensure a set of uniform standards are followed.
Reflection: I think I would want to be an ambulance dispatcher
because it is cool what they do to help people all over their community. Also,
because I would like to help all the people that I can.
